Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is the most effective fighting style when in close quarters or on the ground. BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger, heavier assailant making it the perfect form of self-defense for women to learn. Because BJJ takes place in close quarters and on the ground its often intimidating for women. Gallatin Valley Martial Arts is offering a special "women's only" 3 week introduction to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu workshop. Come learn why BJJ is an excellent workout and a self-defense must. During this 3 class workshop you will learn: ~What Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is ~Benefits of BJJ in terms of self-defense and fitness ~Basic fundamental positions and sweeps ~How BJJ can get you more in touch with your body ~How ground self-defense could save your life and empower you What to know about this workshop: ~It's offered in a relaxed, non-threatening environment ~You will be working with other women ~The class is ideal for beginners and no prior experince is required ~You will leave feeling empowered
