Montana Photonics Workshop
Montana State University and the Montana Photonics Industry Alliance will team up to offer a workshop on the processes involved in taking a product from research and development to production. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bozeman.
The workshop, which is aimed at middle and senior managers, will help participants address the problems of taking a new product to market, including unreasonable customers, unreliable suppliers, disorganized information systems and product glitches. It will include processes and tools to help reduce crisis management, stress and lost profits.
The workshop was created by local photonics industry veterans to introduce quality concepts to engineers and management. It will be taught by a team of technology, manufacturing and quality experts from FLIR Systems, Wavelength Electronics, Quantum Composers, Quantel/Lumibird, Auto Pilot and Quality Time Montana, plus the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center and the MSU Technology Transfer Office.
Registration is $175 for the general public or $145 for MPIA members. For more information or to enroll, visit http://bit.ly/mpia-
