Hopa Mountain's Human Rights Day Celebration

Hopa Mountain will host our annual Human Rights Day conversation on Monday, December 10, beginning at 6:00 pm at the Bozeman Public Library. It is free-of-charge and open to everyone.

6:00 - 6:30 p.m.: Failure at the Intersection of Human Rights and Architecture Dr. Ralph Johnson is a member of the American Institute of Architects and a Professor at MSU. His research focuses on community design, affordable housing, and social justice.

6:30 - 7:00 p.m.: Resistance, Awareness, and Hashtags: Bringing Media Awareness to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Marena "Bright Eyes" Mahto is an enrolled member of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nations of the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation, and a student at MSU. She is currently studying Political Science and American Studies with Minors in History and Native American Studies.

7:00 - 7:30 p.m.: The Hebrew Bible: The Source of Human Rights Rabbi Ed Stafman is a Rabbi Emeritus of Beth Shalom and a former trial lawyer specializing in defending death penalty inmates. Rabbi Ed started working for Beth Shalom in 2008 and retired in 2018 with the honorary title of Rabbi Emeritus. Please bring a can(s) of food to help support the Gallatin County Food Bank.
