The Meaning and Experiences of Coming Out
Join us for an LGBTQ History Month Panel Event, “The Meaning and Experiences of ‘Coming Out’: A Tribute to the Memory of Matthew Shepard”. The MSU Women’s Center, QSA, and MSU’s Diversity and Inclusion Student Commons present this program on Wednesday, October 17th at 6:30 p.m. in the Procrastinator Theater in MSU’s SUB in celebration of National LGBTQ History Month and in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of Matthew Shepard’s tragic murder. This dialogue will feature members of the Queer Straight Alliance at MSU as they discuss the realities and experiences of coming out. We will also screen the film Matt Shepard is a Friend of Mine which chronicles Matthew Shepard’s life and tragic murder in Wyoming 20 years ago.
