Adapted from the best-selling Native American novel by Kent Nerbern, a 95-year-old Lakota elder (Dave Bald Eagle, who recently passed away at age 97) summons a white writer to help him craft a book about his people. Sucked into a road trip through the heart on the Dakotas by the elder and his best friend, the author is forced into a deep understanding of contemporary native life.
