Fire on the Page: Writing to the Bone!
Registration is now open for "Fire on the Page: Writing to the Bone!", a full-day writing workshop for educators, which will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman.
The interactive workshop focuses on writing in museums and similar spaces, using history and science as inspiration. Participants will use MOR archives and digital sources, as well as resources from MSU Special Collections’ digital archives on renowned Montana writer Ivan Doig, to bring multiple disciplines to life through writing.
Teachers of all disciplines and grade levels are eligible, and teams of teachers are encouraged to attend. Principals and curriculum leaders who are interested in thinking more about how writing builds and utilizes community will also benefit from the workshop.
The workshop is being hosted by the Yellowstone Writing Project, an initiative of the MSU Department of English.
Registration is $120, the fee includes the workshop, coffee, lunch and OPI renewal units.
