Footloose
Footloose is a 1984 American musical that tells the story of Ren McCormack (Kevin Bacon), an upbeat Chicago teen who moves to a small town. Dancing and rock music have been banned in the town, as a result of the efforts of a local minister. Ariel, a rebellious young woman, catches the eye of the Chicago teen and Ren soon discovers Ariel to be the daughter of the strict Reverend. The film also stars Lori Singer, John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Sarah Jessica Parker. The famous soundtrack is known for hits such as Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero” and of course “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins. 1 hour and 50 minutes. Rated PG
