BFS Screens 'Columbus'
South Korean director Kogonada makes his directorial debut with 'Columbus.' When a renowned architect falls ill in during a speaking tour, his son Jin (John Cho) finds himself stranded in Columbus, Indiana — a small midwestern city celebrated for its many significant modernist buildings. A chance meeting with an architecture student (Haley Lu Richardson) allows Kogonada to fuse the sheer physicality of Columbus’s famed modernist structures with emotions in this quirky boy meets girl drama. Not rated, the film earned 97% from Rotten Tomatoes
and runs 104 minutes.
