Fall 2017 MBI Seminar Series
The Microbiology and Immunology Department presents a seminar with Joseph D. Mougous called "Bacterial warfare in close quarters: molecular mechanisms underlying interbacterial antagonism". Dr. Mougous will be visiting Montana State University from the University of Washington. His research interests include the type VI protein secretion system (T6SS). This pathway, which is present in hundreds of Gram-negative bacteria, is remarkable in that it can target its substrates–some of which are toxins–to eukaryotic or prokaryotic cells. Please join Dr. Mougous for his seminar on September 26th, 2017 in the Procrastinator Theater from 2:00pm-2:50pm.
