Gallatin Refugee Connections Asks: Is Bozeman Welcoming?

How welcoming a community is Bozeman? Does this opinion differ depending on who you are, where you’re from, or what language you speak? Join Gallatin Refugee Connections as we explore these questions and learn how Bozeman can improve as a welcoming community for all. In celebration of Welcoming America’s national Welcoming Week, Gallatin Refugee Connections will be hosting a potluck and panel discussion to explore over a shared meal how welcoming Bozeman is as a community. Participants are encouraged to bring a dish that expresses their heritage - perhaps a dish from family history or origin, or just a timeless favorite! We’ll come together to share these diverse dishes while listening to a panel of local Bozemanites discuss how Bozeman has (or has not) been welcoming, and how we can improve as a community to make everyone feel at home. We’ll hear from panelists representing or advocating for the homeless, English as a second language, immigrant, faith based, and Native American communities. This event is free and open to all in our community. Families are welcome and encouraged to come.
