September 22nd-24th: Tibetan Buddhist monks from Namdroling Monastery of India will be creating the beautiful Vajrasattva sand mandala. A sand mandala is made with colored sand formed into traditionally prescribed Tibetan iconography to bless the earth and its inhabitants. In particular, Vajrasattva is the buddha of purification, who brings great peace and causes enlightened activity to happen. The mandala will be open for public viewing during its creation as well as its dissolution. Everyone is welcome to attend this community event at the Bozeman Public Library
