In 2016, the Montana Preservation Alliance offered six artists the chance to participate in Reimagine Montana, an Artist-in-Residence program funded through a nationwide Imagine Your Parks Initiative. Each artist was paired with a site that resonated with their interests, and was given the opportunity to reflect on these places and their cultural meaning – past, present and future. The resulting collection of more than 30 new paintings and photographs is stunning, bringing beauty and new insights to the heritage of our state and our nation.
