Don't Close Your Eyes: Live Radio Theatre
DCYE will stage seven live, one-hour productions, each in the style of old-time radio with live actors, music, and all-analog sound effects! Writer/Directors Ryan Cassavaugh and Keith Suta and their friends once again bring their high-energy, high-wire act of writing and staging a brand-new one-hour script each week, replicating the demands of a weekly nationwide broadcast! Each show is written, rehearsed, and performed in one week's time -- starring many of the area's finest actors of stage and screen!
On Monday night, the cast meets for an initial rehearsal; Tuesday and Thursday the cast reviews their roles and sound effects are gathered and musical accompanyment is prepared; Thursday is the full technical rehearsal; Friday and Saturday are show nights! While all this is going on, next week's show is being written! It's a dizzying feat of creativity that yields spontaneous and imaginative entertainment that is fun for the entire family!
This year's shows begin June 9 and 10, and run every Friday and Saturday until July 21 and 22! Every show begins at 8:00 p.m. at the Verge Theater at 2304 North 7th Avenue in Bozeman (across from Murdoch's)!
