Meet at the Drinking Horse trail head. Walk led by Dr. Dave Roberts, Ecologist. Plants species respond to a large number of environmental characteristics, and exhibit interesting distributions and behaviors in response to differences in environment. If you learn to listen to what plants are telling you, you can get to know them well and understand how they view the world. Plants are intimately related to their environments, so using their abilities you can read the landscape from a plant’s perspective and gain a whole new understanding about your environment. On our walk we’ll meet several species and see if we can’t coax them to tell us some stories.
