The Montana Chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology invites the general public to come learn about the ecological and socio-economic importance of pollinators and the many risks that pollinators face. The focal event for the evening will be a screening of the 20-minute award-winning film, “A Ghost in the Making: Searching for the Rusty-Patched Bumble Bee”. Clay Bolt, the filmmaker and natural history and conservation photographer, will introduce this film and then lead a short discussion after the screening.

Graduate students affiliated with Montana State University’s Pollinator Health Center will also present short and engaging talks on their current pollinator research. At the end of the event, the audience will have the opportunity to interact and socialize with these experts. The goal of this event is to take the knowledge gained through research and education and bring it directly to the Bozeman and Gallatin Valley Community.

This event is free and open to the public and complimentary beverages will be provided! All ages welcome. Doors open at 5:45 pm and the even begins at 6:00 pm.
