Oren Lyons (b. 1930) is a world-renowned indigenous rights advocate, environmental activist, and scholar. He is a member of the Onondaga Nation of the Iroquois Confederacy. As a Faithkeeper, he upholds the history and traditions of the Turtle Clan of the Onondaga. Lyons also works with communities around the world as an activist for indigenous and environmental justice, often addressing modern-day conflicts by sharing traditional views on the law of nature.

A reception in the lobby of the Musuem of the Rockies will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the lecture in the museum's Hager Auditorium at 7 p.m. SEATING IS LIMITED on a first-come, first-served basis.
