Bozeman Police Department Award and Swearing In Ceremony
On Thursday, April 6, at 4:00 pm, the Bozeman Police Department will be holding a ceremony in the Community Room at the Bozeman Public Library at 626 East Main. The ceremony will include the swearing in a of new officer, the presentation of several awards to current officers, and the recognition of several dedicated volunteers.
During the ceremony, a new officer will be sworn in. Officer Jess Patrick began with our department on March 20 and is currently receiving three weeks of initial training. Beginning on April 10, he will attend the Montana Law Enforcement Academy in Helena for twelve weeks. After that, he will begin the department’s fourteen week Field Training and Evaluation Program.
Eight Bozeman Police officers will then receive awards related to incidents that occurred in 2016. These awards stem from four different incident that occurred during the year. The awards include both lifesaving awards and devoted service awards.
In addition, several dedicated volunteers will be recognized for the hours they contributed during 2016 and the numerous tasks they performed.
