Funky Bunches of Oats is new group on the Bozeman scene comprised of talented High School students. They may be young but they're tackling and presenting mature music. This 7-piece jazz/pop group presents tunes from the standard jazz repertoire as well as rock and popular standards. Funky Bunches of Oats has a solid, grooving rhythm section of piano, bass and drums, and topping off the cake is a trumpet, two saxophones and a trombone. With such a versatile instrumentation, you'll hear a sound that ranges from an intimate ballad to a raucous New Orleans improvisation. This band has youth, punch and sophistication!
