Increasing Your Child's Motivation for STEM
More often than not, a student’s performance in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) isn’t due to their innate ability but rather their interest in the topic. Interest has been shown to be a strong predictor of students’ performance in STEM courses, their decision to take STEM electives, and their choice of college major. Brock LaMeres, Professor of Electrical Engineering at Montana State University will discuss some of the recent research in this area and present simple actions that parents can take to make STEM more relevant to their children. Class is free of charge. For more information and to register, go to http://www.bsd7.org/students_parents/parent_university
