Bozeman Magazine

Jan Strout , Andy Boyd and others are organizing a Dakota Pipeline protest in Bozeman on Sunday October 2nd at the Gallatin County Courthouse. The protest will start at 1pm and we'll follow the route down the sidewalks of Main St to Soroptomist Park and back to the courthouse. We plan on having several speakers at the park and courthouse. The public assembly permit has been submitted and paid for and we should have no problem getting it approved.

Meg Singer and others that were at Standing Rock will be speaking.

We need volunteer help for the following..
-Sidewalk traffic coordinators..These people make sure we are following traffic signals, leading people across the crosswalks etc
- posting event flyers around town
-Gathering literature about the DAPL and it's purpose and why we are protesting the DAPL. This person would need to be able to set up a table for literature, sign up sheets, voter reg etc
Any other ideas would be appreciated. We will have a short organizers meeting next week with all who are interested in organizing this historical protest.
