Film: Trumbo
Bozeman Film Society continues its lively season with the recently Oscar-nominated, must-see film TRUMBO. Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) portrays the richly entertaining and notorious Dalton Trumbo, one of the greatest screenwriters in cinema history. In 1947, Trumbo was Hollywood's top screenwriter until he and other artists were jailed and blacklisted for their political beliefs. TRUMBO recounts how Dalton used his words and wit to win two Academy Awards and expose the in justice and absurdity of the Hollywood Blacklist. TRUMBO, directed by Jay Roach (HBO’s Recount and Game Change), also features the talents of Helen Mirren, John Goodman, Elle Fanning, Louis C.K. and Diane Lane. Rated R - 124 minutes
