Telling the Story of Space Exploration: A Teacher Workshop on the Convergence of Science, Writing and Art
Chaikin is author of “A Man on the Moon: The Voyages of the Apollo Astronauts” and a member of the NASA New Horizons mission to Pluto team. He will discuss the storytelling behind his children’s book “Mission Control, This is Apollo,” then help teachers troubleshoot how to motivate and inspire their own students. Chaikin will touch upon some of the science and the technology included in his book and how to communicate it to students.
