Friendship Hill was the home of Albert Gallatin, Thomas Jefferson’s Secretary of the Treasury and one of the planners of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Learn how Gallatin, a respected politician, diplomat, ethnologist and linguist left his name on a Montana county, river and mountain peak without ever leaving the American east coast.
