Experience the unique music from Oman and beyond on Thursday, August 13 at 7pm in the Bozeman Public Library Community Room. Gabe Lavin will talk about and perform different styles of oud playing throughout the Arab world.  The hour-long program includes video clips as well as demonstrating the different styles of playing and the music accompanying the oud. Gabe has spent three years in the region studying language and music and has recently returned to Bozeman after completing a Fulbright in Oman studying the oud and music history.
