Award-winning WYOmericana Caravan Tour rambles through Rockies
 
Eleven musicians. Three bands representing one state. Meet the 3rd Annual WYOmericana Caravan Tour featuring The Patti Fiasco, Screen Door Porch, and Canyon Kids.
 
Described as “a traveling concert circus of sorts” by The New York Times, the WYOmericana Caravan Tour is an annual, rolling representation of the Wyoming’s burgeoning songwriter scene. From acoustic to electric music representing roots-rock, Americana, folk, blues, indie, country and bluegrass, the eclectic tour features three acts “caravanning” down the road together. The bands perform individual sets yet harvest a heap of ad-libbed collaborations with one another, including stripped-down “tweener” sets and a "Last Waltz" style encore with all eleven musicians to close each show. It’s a camaraderie element absent from most modern day traveling shows that makes each tour stop a unique experience.
 
The tour was named a Top Arts/Entertainment Event of 2013 by Wyoming's largest print newspaper, Casper Star-Tribune, and received a tremendous amount of support from the broader Square State community including Wyoming Public Radio and Wyoming Arts Council. The nature of the WYOmericana Caravan Tour extends beyond the music. The Caravan has partnered with several Wyoming-based brands and non-profits—including the conservation-focused Wyoming Nature Conservancy—in an effort to promote sustainability and build community in The Square State. Other sponsors include Surf Wyoming, Snake River Brewing, Mountain Khakis, Dust Cutter, Melody Creek Guitars and Hoagland Custom Pickups, Arts Cheyenne, S. Rose Design, and Benderuble Sound.
