Film: Every Last Child
The Bozeman Doc Series and the Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club present the Montana premiere of the critically acclaimed documentary Every Last Child.
In 2012, polio persisted in only three countries and the number of victims was steadily decreasing. Pakistan was the key - with over 80% of all endemic cases. However, when the Pakistan Taliban issued a ban against vaccination, and incited fatal attacks against vaccinators, Pakistan's vaccination campaign was thrown into disarray.
Now, families and healthcare workers find themselves in the crosshairs of politics and bloodshed as they attempt to protect their children from polio.
An intense and moving documentary, Every Last Child paints an intricate portrait of the desperate battle to put an end to this devastating disease.
A percentage of the proceeds from the screening will benefit Rotary International’s End Polio Now campaign, and will be matched two-for-one by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
