Serenity in the Storm

Jason DeShaw of Plentywood will deliver “Serenity in the Storm” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, in the Emerson Center’s Crawford Theater, located at 111 S. Grand Ave. The event is free and open to the public.

DeShaw’s visit is presented by the Montana State University Center for Mental Health Research and Recovery and BlueCross BlueShield of Montana.

DeShaw also appeared in Bozeman in January.

DeShaw is a nationally acclaimed country western singer/songwriter/guitarist who struggles with bipolar disorder. He recently received the Lionel Aldridge Champions Award from the National Alliance on Mental Illness. A graduate of Carroll College, DeShaw has performed in 35 states, Canada and Europe. He has opened for The Oak Ridge Boys, Emerson Drive and Little Big Town and has released five albums of original music. DeShaw also is an inspirational speaker sharing his story of living with bipolar disorder. His story of recovery, “Serenity in the Storm,” is interwoven with original music that soundtracks his life’s struggles and triumphs.
