Bozeman Magazine

An evening of intense, small ensemble jazz with The Roberts Hall Schmidt Jazz Trio. The trio is made up of two award-winning Bozeman High School jazz players (upright bassist Colleen Schmidt and drummer Thomas Roberts) plus well-known Bozeman jazz guitarist Craig Hall. The trio’s focus is on unapologetic modern mainstream “bebop” style, inspired and borrowing from specific classic arrangements of historic jazz. Expect a hard-swinging New York City sound, complete with lots of improvised solos and unison shout choruses.
