It only takes a quick glance to see the powerful and innate bond between Dave Strumfeld and Sabina Beachdell, the creative couple behind Band of Lovers. The two have been linked since 2005, first as friends and now as a nomadic, musical pairing. 

After a short split early last summer, the duo reunited with a ukulele, acoustic guitar, and a pocketful of ideas begging to branch out into song. Strumfeld’s longstanding composing background combined with Beachdell’s knack for storytelling evolved into atypical, semi-autobiographical tunes that carry the accessibility of pop and the sweetness of folk. The pair’s complementary voices blend smoothly in harmony, weaving heartwarming and heartbreaking stories into each song.

Band of Lovers spent the past year traveling coast to coast with just their instruments and a few belongings in their car, touring with an EP recorded last fall. They spent the summer recording their debut full-length album the Coast in the heart of the Catskills and are currently on their second cross-country tour from New York to Washington State.
