Courtney Yovich is a young singer/songwriter and performer based out of Bozeman, Montana, USA and Nashville TN. She fronts Nashville-based jazz trio, Asteria Lux, with fellow songwriters Genesis Green and CJ Watson. Asteria Lux has just released a new album and it will be available at this show.
Billboard Discoveries wrote Courtney is “one of those kids whose musical prowess started shining through before her permanent teeth did!” Age just 16, Courtney just released her first album “Waiting to be Told,” and has already won several songwriting awards (the first at age 8!), including a Top 20 finish in CMT/NSAI Song Contest. I Am Entertainment Magazine said “If she keeps this up, she’ll be one of the most successful music artists in the business.”
Courtney played the prestigious Pensacola Beach Songwriter’s Festival in 2011 and 2012, as well as the Frank Brown Festival along the Gulf Coast in November of 2012. She played with Patrick Leonard at the Hatch Festival in October 2011 and the Sundance Film Festival in January 2012. Additionally, she won a coveted spot at the 2010 Country Throwdown’s Bluebird Stage in Salt Lake City. Courtney’s debut at Nashville’s world-famous Bluebird Cafe sold out in just a few hours. In 2011, Courtney was elected to the membership of the NSAI’s Gap Group of top songwriters. Courtney recently played another sold out show at the Bluebird, and was featured as a performer at TEDxBozeman 2013 in March.
