Tracorum is an original Rock'n'Soul/Rhythm'n'Blues band from San Francisco, California. Epic live shows and original music are at the heart of this soul quenching, eclectic bay area talent. Steeped in traditional roots music the band has continued to create a positively unique sound that is the vast umbrella known as Tracorum.
Tracorum features some of the San Francisco's most talented and varied musicians: The individual sounds of South African drummer Ian Herman (Paul Simon, Sting, Mickey Hart Band, Vusi Mahlasela, Hugh Masekela) Mark Calderon (Zigaboo Modeliste,Leo Neocentelli) on bass coupled with soulful songwriter/pianist/vocalist Fletcher Nielsen and the electric Derek Brooker on guitar make for a band who's sound is equally masterful both in the studio and live on stage.3
Tracorum has released two studio albums:
-2006 "Rock n Soul"
-2011 "The Lesson"
The Lesson has been well received and is in rotation on over 50 college and AAA radio stations across the country.
Tracorum's "Break the Chains" was nominated for a 2011 Independent Music Award in the Sing out for Social Change category
Tracorum has shared the stage with great acts such as Robert Randolph Family Band, Trombone Shorty, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Rebirth Brass Band, Ivan Neville's Dumpstafunk, Umphreys McGee, Mickey Hart Band, Bill Kreutzmann's (of the Grateful Dead) 7 WalkersALO and many others…
Song writing and consistent gut wrenching concerts separate this band from the masses. Tracorum has inked over 400 shows from California to New Orleans to Amsterdam, Netherlands. The band's musicianship and dedicated efforts can been seen night after night in the contagious joy they exude while playing on stage and in the crowds attentive response to the ever changing eclectic music they create.
Flatt Cheddar is a fun-loving bluegrass band united by a love of music and an incorrigible sense of humor. In the past year and a half, they have exploded in the Montana music scene and frequently play shows around southwest Montana. It's easy and worthwhile to watch the band play live; their variety of fast-paced grass and slower bluesy tunes keeps the crowd happily dancing while captivating listeners from every walk of life.
Flatt Cheddar's music can be described as any kind of "grass" with a blues influence, and the musicians' shared love of playing music makes their shows a guaranteed good time. Most importantly, said Sevee, "We enjoy playing for people; we enjoy when people come to watch, because it makes us feel good."
