The Gift Worth Giving – a dream wedding to be gifted

Thursday Dec. 22nd, 2011

Local wedding vendors announce second annual The Gift Worth Giving – a dream wedding to be gifted to one deserving Montana couple.

Bozeman, Mont., Nov. 11, 2011 -Three local wedding professionals are once again gifting a dream wedding to one deserving Montana couple, and the search for that couple has begun! Larry Stanley, photographer and owner of Montana Wedding Photographer, Jena Silverness, event designer and owner of Silver Lined Weddings and Megan Jacks, owner of After 5 and Weddings bridal and formal wear shop, have once again teamed up to gift this dream wedding. Now all they need is this year’s deserving couple. Couples can apply today through January 3, 2012 online at www.thegiftworthgiving.com.

This dream wedding package is planned for June 12, 2012 at the historic Springhill Pavilion. The venue, the event design, the bridal gown, attendants’ dresses, tuxedo rentals, photography, flowers, catering, DJ, wedding rings, make-up, beverages and more will be provided for the couple by an amazing group of top-notch, local wedding vendors.

After completing an application to be considered, the couple will be chosen by The Gift Worth Giving founders and contributing vendors based on why they believe they deserve to receive a dream wedding. As Founder Megan Jacks stated, “Deserving can be defined in many ways. Maybe our couple is experiencing financial hardship, military deployment or an illness, or they might be very community-minded and deserve this gift because they themselves are so giving of their time as volunteers. Couples will be considered for many reasons. They just need to apply.”

To apply or recommend a couple, go to www.thegifthworthgiving.com. The application deadline is January 3, 2012. Finalists will be announced at the end of January. The most deserving couple will be announced on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2012. As this is meant to benefit a Montana couple, either the bride or groom must have ties to Montana to be considered.

This past July, Heidi (Turney) Lagge and Tanner Lagge of Dillon, Montana, were chosen out of approximately 125 applications and received the wedding of their dreams as the very first recipients of The Gift Worth Giving. It was a beautiful day filled with love, laughter and giving. Heidi and Tanner were chosen as the 2011 recipients due to the extraordinary circumstances Heidi’s family was experiencing following her father’s tragic death just over a year before their wedding. Although her dad, Bobby Joe, could not be there to walk her down the aisle, she and Tanner did have the wedding of their dreams.

Now another Montana couple’s dreams will come true. Once this year’s couple is chosen, they will meet with all the contributing vendors. First they will meet with the Founders of The Gift Worth Giving, Jena Silverness of Silver Lined Weddings to continue the wedding design and planning, Megan Jacks of After 5 and Weddings to choose the bride’s dress and attendants’ dresses, and Larry Stanley of Montana Wedding Photographer to do their engagement shoot. Then they will have approximately four months until their wedding date of June 12, 2012.
