Jack T’s Cat Griz Prediction

I have been right and people on my blog are calling me Jackie the Greek. Maybe they are right. I have been right with my Cats pick five weeks in a row. I think the Bobcats will go undefeated in the Big Sky this year and go all the way to the NCAA Div II champion game  and win!!!

My Great Uncle John Jernberg, a player on the 1964 Bobcat champion team, said at the homecoming game ‘’The Bobcats are looking better than ever this season they look like a champiomship team!”

Cliff Hysell Bobcats coach from 1992 to 1999 who sits next to me in the press box thinks the Cats have what it take to go all the way this year! He should know he brought the toughness to Montana State football before I was born.

As everyone knows, the Bobcats had a few amazing wins in October. A win over Portland State 38-36 in what was the closest the Bobcats have come to losing in the Big sky this year. At the end of the game the Cats stopped them on a two point conversion. That won the game. What did I tell you – the Bobcats destroyed Northern Arizona 41-24. So the  Bobcats  are in first place at 5-0 in the  Big sky and 6-1 over all. The Grizzlies beat Portland 27-24 thats not good. The Bobcats are looking to a very hard match up against the Griz. The Bobcats play like a full on NFL football team at times I think.  I asked Coach Rob Ash ‘What do the Bobcats need to do to play better?’ He  told me  on the side lines; “the team has to stop making penalties” and “focus on special teams.” Ash feels his players are ready for  any opponent in the Big Sky. “We are taking it game by game.”  He also said this match up with the Griz is going to be the hardest match of the season for the Bobcats. I will look to Cody Kirk and Tray Robinson  to both have a great game and run the ball alot. McGhee will be ready to win. Look for Ellis and Akpla to be catching long passes deep from Mcghee. The Bobcat defense will be on fire and helping  the crowd get loud. The Cats defense needs to watch the penalties. They have given up 72.6 yards per game in penalties this season. I can see why Coach Ash wants to fix that. I dont even know what the score will be but it is going to be a close game. 33-28 if I have to guess. It might just come down to Cunningham kicking the game winning field goal. You know he hit two fifty five yarders this year. The Grizzlies have a strong team and it will not be an easy game. I watched the Griz – Portland State game up in the press box. Portland had such a big lead and then Montana came all the way back  to win 27 – 24. The Bobcats need to watch out for that from the Griz. It is going to be the best  game of the season and close. I am excited its going to be my first Cat – Griz game ever. It is going to be a great game and everyone should support the Bobcats. I hope they win.
