Zesty Eats: Gourmet Vegan Pairing Dinner

Erik Walnum is a local private chef specializing in whole food, plant-based nutrition. In 2015, spurred by the arrival of his first child and a pursuit of long-term health and wellness, Erik experienced a "food renaissance" that led him to dive head-first into the world of plant-based eating. In this three-course meal, Erik will delight your taste buds with the wonders and potential of a vegan diet. He has prepared a menu that will not only accommodate gluten and dairy allergies and vegan eaters, but also anyone who enjoys gourmet cuisine and arrives with an empty stomach and an open mind. We give you this assurance: It will be so good, if you didn't know better, you wouldn't even know you were eating vegan. Each of the three courses is paired with a four-ounce serving of Kombucha, specifically selected for its complement of the course. In addition, Erik will speak briefly about his philosophy of cooking, and how he believes his experience of learning to feed a family of four a strictly plant-based diet can be a blueprint for others to follow.
