Fiddles, Harps and Shamrocks

Mark your calendars for Fiddles, Harps and Shamrocks, an intimate fundraiser gala for the Bozeman Symphony. Entry to this event is extremely limited and you are encouraged to purchase your ticket as soon as possible. The event will be held March 16 and 17 at the Food Studio in Bozeman. Enjoy this evening of delectable Irish cuisine, world-renowned wine and enlightened entertainment with a unique group of loyal patrons. Fiddles, Harps and Shamrocks will be the symphony’s first Irish music event. It is designed to celebrate the rich Irish heritage in our community and welcome listeners to this exciting and fun music genre. Irish music, by definition, originates on the island of Ireland when the Celts arrived almost two thousand years ago. Among other skills and crafts, they brought with them music. The harp is the best known of all traditional Irish instruments. From the Tenth to Seventeenth centuries, harpists were respected professional musicians employed under a system of patronage. In the 1840’s a wave of Irish emigrants arrived in the United States bringing with them songs and traditional Irish music. Irish music networks were quickly established, namely in New York, Chicago and Boston, and notable fiddle players such as Michael Coleman, James Morrison and Paddy Killoran emerged. What better way to pay homage to Irish history than with Fiddles, Harps and Shamrocks? The event includes lively musical entertainment, dancing and a ten-course meal and wine pairings by The Food Studio. The Food Studio provides top-notch private chef and catering services in Bozeman. They also host dinners and special events, such as Fiddles, Harps and Shamrocks, to provide unique culinary experiences for our area. The Food Studio is owned and operated by professionals Daniel and Eva Wendell. Daniel started his career as a young apprentice in a cheese and charcuterie shop in California then worked at a renowned restaurant in Berkely. He moved to Alaska to be a chef for the Hilton Corporation and then work his way to executive chef at Sack’s Café, a popular and established restaurant in Anchorage. He moved from there to New Mexico and then finally to Montana where he and his wife Eva raise their family. Eva has been in the service side of restaurants and in the customer service industry for some time. She has a refined attention to detail seldom seen. Her ability to see it all is surpassed only by her professional approach to each customer’s specific need.
