Singer/Songwriter/Producer Lige Newton hails from the small town Polson MT. A self-described “singer/songwriter folk rocker,” his recent EP “Before Winter Comes Again” is a mini-masterpiece. It reminds us of the Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit. His music is a perfect mesh of acoustic guitar, harmonica, and a one-of-a-kind voice.
Lige first picked up a guitar at the age of 1. At seven, his parents and sister started a family band, and for the next several years played at local festivals and competed in several of the Montana State Fiddlers contests.
After graduating high school, Lige moved to Spokane, WA to attend Spokane Falls Community College for audio engineering and is currently utilizing his skills producing music for RezErected Records. He recently released his first EP “Before Winter Comes Again”, consisting of four original tracks self- produced and mastering done by Shadow Devereaux.
Aside from his solo work, he is currently involved in fusion-elecronic group Woolgather Project, and fellow RezErected artists the Codependents.
