IndepenDANCE Community Dance Project is excited to announce their sixth annual performance, “Flux."  A silent auction and cocktail hour will begin at 6:00 pm, with music and visuals by Ranges, a local post-rock band specializing in instrumental soundscape.  In addition, the show will feature Bozeman’s own DJ Missy O’Malley as emcee.

IndepenDANCE is a volunteer-based Bozeman group that provides opportunity and support for adult dancers and choreographers of all backgrounds and abilities to connect, create, and perform in all forms of dance.  Each year, the IndepenDANCE performance has risen beyond years past, and this year’s show is sure to continue that trend.  With a growing number of interested choreographers and performers and further community support, the possibilities continue to grow for the group.  IndepenDANCE thrives because people believe in the idea and continue to join in the creative process.

The non-profit project is sustained by participant help, generous support from local businesses and individual sponsorships, and assistance from Montana Arts and the Montana Arts Council.  This year’s show consists of over 80 dancers performing pieces from many different choreographers who specialize in hip-hop, tap, ballet, modern, contemporary, belly dance, and many other styles.
