Pirate Party 2017

Bozeman Magazine set sail last week for the 8th annual Pirate Party. The Pirate Party has taken place at a new venue this year in Haugan, Montana at the 50,000 silver dollar bar. Being held at LoLo hot springs in the previous years the four-day festival consisted of live music, workshops, painters, aerial/fire/flow performances, along with shaded camping in the woods. The venue consisted of four stages, multiple vendors, a workshop area, a VIP area, and a full art gallery connected by trails in the forest.
This year's headlining acts included emancipator ensemble, a Portland, OR based electronic producer featuring a full band; Mt. Eden, a electronic music duo; Buku; a Pittsburgh based producer, Perfect Stranger, an Israeli-based musician; and Zion I, an American hip hop duo along with many other local and national acts. With the diverse lineup of up-and-coming artists, there was something for everyone to enjoy at Pirate Party.
Some of the workshops during the day this year included massage therapy, energy awareness and healing, an introduction to shamanic journeying, heart opening yoga and many more fun activities open to anyone during the day. There were many art installations all over the venue along with a full art gallery with breathtaking live painters. The Pirate Party is an event you don’t want to miss.
