Bozeman Doc Series & Gallatin Valley Earth Day Present Folktales + Silent Auction
Bozeman Doc Series & Gallatin Valley Earth Day Present Folktales + Silent Auction Join us on Thursday, April 24th, at the Emerson Center for an evening celebrating storytelling, community, and Earth Day! The event kicks off at 5:45PM in the Emerson Ballroom with a reception, food & drinks, and our annual silent auction, where you can bid on unique local items while supporting the Series. Browse auction items from event sponsors before heading into the theater for the Montana premiere of Folktales at 7 PM. From Academy Award-nominated filmmakers Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady, Folktales is a visually stunning and deeply moving documentary set at Pasvik Folk High School in northern Norway. Inspired by Norse mythology, where the three “Norns” weave the threads of fate, this unconventional school offers students a year of self-discovery through dog sledding, Arctic survival, and deep connection with the land, animals, and each other. In an age of digital overwhelm, these teenagers embrace simplicity, community, and the transformative power of nature. Through intimate verité storytelling and breathtaking cinematography, Folktales captures the raw beauty of the Arctic wilderness and the personal journeys of young people searching for meaning. Don’t miss this one-night-only screening and the chance to support the Bozeman Doc Series through our silent auction.
Cost: $10-12
