Mr. G on WQD - Celebrate World Quantum Day with a Free Laser Light Show
Bozeman-area students, teachers, and parents are invited to a free laser light and science show on Wednesday, April 16 to celebrate World Quantum Day. The show will feature sound, lasers, light, and the mysterious world of quantum science. No prior understanding of quantum is necessary to enjoy the show. All ages are welcome, and tickets are not required. The show will include flashing and strobing lights and may not be suitable for photosensitive individuals.
Where: Willson Auditorium, 404 W. Main Street, Bozeman MT
When: 6:30 PM, April 16th, 2025 The show will be performed by Glenn Govertsen, also known as Mr. G, a retired physics teacher from Missoula who has entertained audiences around the world with his engaging science performances.
The April 16 event is being organized by MSU’s Applied Quantum CORE – or QCORE -- and its education and workforce development team in the Science Math Resource Center. MSU’s QCORE has undertaken an ambitious research agenda with a focus on quantum computing, quantum sensing and quantum communications.QCORE is supported by funding from the Air Force Research Laboratory.
