Jason Thompson is an adventure photographer. He has worked for brands such as Patagonia, The North Face, Dynastar Skis, and editorial and web clients include, NPR, Powder Magazine, Vice Media, and ESPN. Jason has made his home in Bozeman since 1999 and has been working as a full time photographer since 2012. Assignments have brought Jason to document all over the world. Returning home to Montana and the vastness is one of his favorite places to be.

In his own words, “I am inspired by adventures. I shoot photos and videos to inspire others. My goal as a photographer is to document what makes people passionate. I truly believe that passionate, creative people help make the world a better place.
I spent 10 years working as a mountain guide and ski patroller. Safety is number one. Guiding and ski patrolling provided me with a skill set to understand objective hazards, risk management, group dynamics, fluency in emergency medicine and working and witnessing the unpredictabilities of snow properties.

I strive for simplicity. My highest goal is to capture images that reveal the human connection with nature. In a digital age, I want to remember the soul.
My images are a product of my lifestyle. They tell stories inspired by nature, adventure and the human experience. They cultivate a passion for adventure and a moment of reverence. They teach the viewer to breathe.”
