Lynette Britton

Saturday Sep. 1st, 2012

Lynette Britton was raised in Federal Way, Wa. and moved to the Kalispell area in 1995, ending up in Livingston in 2008 for 2 ½ years, and eventually in Bozeman. After attending a week long photography course in 2000 at Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula, she’s been hooked ever since. Starting out with two Minolta film cameras in the Flathead Valley 12 years ago, she eventually bought her first digital Nikon SLR camera last summer, and has loved the quality and convenience of digital.

“With our diversity, wildlife, and beautiful scenery, Montana is the perfect place for photo fanatics like myself. The four seasons here give us the opportunity for some of the most spectacular photo opportunities available anywhere. After photographing in the Flathead Valley, and now the southwestern area of Montana, I’m eager to explore the rest of this great state. I eventually want to photograph the entire US, and hopefully Europe or anywhere else my travels take me.”

All of Lynette’s photos are double-matted by herself, and the frames are beautifully handcrafted by Ted Appling of Bozeman. She has shown her work at various venues around Bozeman, the most recent at The Bozeman Brewing Co. during the months of July and August. She is hoping to be have some of her photography on display at galleries around the area in the near future.
