Tamir Rice, Laquan McDonald, Korryn Gaines, Philando Castile, Meagan Hockaday, Eric Garner, Deborah Ddanner, Trayvon Martin, Freddie Gray, Sandra Bland. . .this list is endless. This list goes back to the founding of the United States, to the fugitive slave catchers who became the Ku Klux Klan who became the police.
There has never been liberty and justice for all.

Tomorrow, May 31st, the MSU Black Students Union and the Montana Racial Equity Project are demonstrating in solidarity with our black siblings in Minneapolis and all across the nation. We are gathering to be in community, to make our grief and rage public, and to demand that our country live up to its promise of freedom and justice for all. Freedom and justice does not stop at reform. We dream of the abolition of police and prisons.
To our BIPOC siblings in Bozeman, we invite you to join us and lift up your voices. To our white siblings in Bozeman, your silence is deafening. Your absence from this fight is complicity in the violence of white supremacy. We need your solidarity now.
