Extreme Learning for Teachers (3 OPI Renewal Credits)

Museum of the Rockies, the Extreme History Project, and the Yellowstone Writing Project have partnered to offer educators a unique opportunity to earn 3 OPI renewal units. Participants will be encouraged to attend an optional self-guided tour of the museum before registration. Starting at 5:30 p.m. we will learn about available museum resources, listen to the featured lecture, and discuss potential classroom applications over light refreshments. January's topic and lecture is The Sort Who Make Good Citizens: "Empire, An African American Community in Wyoming, 1908-1920. February's topic and lecture is The North Coast Limited, the Nightcrawler, and the Skidoo: A century of passenger trains and public transportation in Montana. March's topic and lecture is The 19th Amendment: Expanding the Arc of the Suffrage Story. April's topic and lecture is The Montana Modernists: Redefining "Western" Art Across the State. Pre-registration is required.

Cost: $35 per teacher
