Bozeman Magazine

A native of Billings and current resident of Bozeman, Amanda Eggert loves travel—particularly if mountains and rivers are involved—and a good story, well told. Before settling into her career as a journalist, Amanda worked for the U.S. Forest Service as a wildland firefighter and guided clients down New Zealand’s mighty Whanganui River as a multi-day canoe guide. Since earning a B.A. in print journalism from the University of Montana, her writing has appeared in Outside, Montana Free Press, Mountain Outlaw and Montana Quarterly.
