Western Bear Foundation

Can we Bear the Bias – An Expert’s Take on Grizzly Bears is a forum of stakeholders in grizzly bear conservation that will be mediated by Right to Roam’s Chris Sheets. Panel members include Hilary Cooley (USFWS Grizzly Bear Recovery Coordinator), Frank Van Manen (Team Leader of the Inter-agency Grizzly Bear Study), and several state Carnivore Directors from Montana and Wyoming. The goal of this event is to educate the public on grizzly bear conservation and create transparency between managing agencies and the general public. This will be an unbiased campfire-like conversation complete with an audience Q & A.

Guest speaker for the evening will be Shane Mahoney. Mahoney is one of the most recognized voices in North American conservation, as a leading authority on both the North American Model and the continent’s conservation history.
