Bozeman from the Heart - A Valentine

Bozeman from the Heart is a book about our town, the people, and the best of what and who we are. This event brings the book to life with heartfelt readings, vibrant images, and live music. Join us to hear about the best of our collective memories, our hopes for the future, and the way we see our Main Street today.

A host of local authors will be reading their works. Valerie Hemingway recounts the early days of The Country Bookshelf, including the bats in the belfry. Paddling the East Gallatin comes alive with Alan Kesselheim’s storytelling prowess. John Ludin honors The Ellen, celebrating her 100th birthday this year. Poetry read by local writers Greg Keeler and Carolyn Pinet reveal slices of Bozeman. Radio maven Chrysti Smith explains why she looks down when she walks, Steve Kirchhoff recalls Langhor's Pond and Keith McCafferty silently, but only literarily, kills off interesting coffee shop patrons.

The readings will be accompanied by June Safford’s paintings, projected on the big screen, and will feature a musical feast woven in by the exceptionally talented Eric Funk, Jeni Fleming, Eddie T. and Mike Gillan.

Enjoy all of this and more! This is a special night in celebration of our beloved Bozeman. It is a tale from the heart.

Bozeman from the Heart, edited by June B. Safford and Paula K. Beswick, and designed by Stephanie Newman. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
