Science of National Forest Planning Symposium

A forest plan guides the overarching direction of the forest for the foreseeable future (10-15 + years), the Custer Gallatin is just over half-way through their Forest Plan Revision process. Currently the team is deep into writing the draft plan and draft environmental impact statement. Take the time to join the symposium and learn a bit more in-depth about the science that goes into forest planning, topics include implementation of the planning rule, ecological integrity, setting the vision in a changing climate, fire as part of the ecosystem, the importance of riparian areas and connectivity for all species. Hosted following the 14th Biennial Science Conference on the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, Special thanks to Yellowstone Forever.
