Progressively, outdoors-oriented communities are recognizing and beginning to re-envision the history of our natural heritage traditionally told through the predominate lenses of whiteness and hegemonic masculinity. Coupled with exhausted operating budgets and other considerable threats to our unique conservation legacy, it is essential, now more than ever, that everyone be able to visualize themselves as safe and comfortable on public lands, regardless of race, religion, ability, gender or sexual identity. Please join us during our community dialogue exploring the intersection of identity and public lands while we welcome Mikah Meyer has he speaks about his mission to invite people to the outdoors, be a new type of LGBTQ role model, and to share all 417 National Parks with the world. His talk will be followed by a moderated dialogue with community leaders working to create a more inclusive outdoors.
