Ahn Trio, Juilliard-trained Korean-American sisters known for their innovative approach to modern classical music, releases their 9th album BLUE. The Ahn Trio, dubbed “Classical Revolutionaries” by New York Newsday – pianist Lucia, violinist Angella and cellist Maria – are excited to share tracks from their new album with their Bozeman audience! BLUE, the most personal album to date, is a musical diary of the sisters’ shared journey. Hanging out with Prince at Paisley Park playing “Purple Rain”; working with Pat Metheny who wrote “Yuryung” for the trio; performing “Skylife” at President Obama’s White House; performing at TEDWomen and meeting extraordinary female leaders from around the world; collaborating with Juilliard classmate Kenji Bunch. Also included are new friends made, a collaboration with Hyung-ki Joo of Igudesman & Joo, and a D.D. Jackson arrangement of Jimi Hendrix’ “Little Wing”. Come celebrate with Ahn Trio! Cheer them ahn!
